JAISB publishes rigorous, original scholarship at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business, and sustainable development. The journal serves researchers, practitioners, and policymakers seeking evidence on how intelligent technologies can advance — and where they may threaten — inclusive, responsible, and sustainable economic activity.

Editor-in-Chief and editorial board
Editorial board members
The wider founding editorial board is being appointed through the open, criteria-based process described on the For Editors page. Confirmed members are listed with full name, affiliation, country, and profile link only after written acceptance — we never display unconfirmed or purchased board memberships.
Peer review process
Editorial screening (≤2 weeks)
Scope, formatting, and similarity screening; desk decisions explained.
Double-anonymous review
At least two independent expert reviewers; structured review forms; identities concealed in both directions.
Decision (target 8–10 weeks from submission)
Accept / minor revision / major revision / reject, always with reviewer reports. Actual average times will be published once reliable data exist.
Production
Copyediting, typesetting, author proof approval, then immediate publication with full metadata.
Journal policies
- Open access
- All content free to read immediately on publication. No subscriptions. See the press-wide open access policy.
- Copyright & licence
- Authors retain copyright; articles published under CC BY 4.0.
- Article processing charges
- None. For the inaugural volume JAISB charges authors nothing: no submission fee, no article processing charge, no page, colour or editorial processing charge, and no fee of any kind for a manuscript that is declined. If a charge is introduced in a later volume, the amount and its effective date will be published on this page in advance, and no manuscript already submitted or under review at that point will be subject to it.
- Waiver policy
- Not applicable while no charge applies. Should a charge be introduced, full and partial waivers will be available to authors from low- and lower-middle-income economies and in cases of demonstrated hardship, handled by staff who take no part in editorial decisions, with editors blinded to fee status.
- Publication ethics
- COPE-aligned press-wide ethics policies apply in full, including plagiarism screening and the AI use policy.
- ISSN
- Applied for on 26 July 2026 and awaiting assignment by ISSN Canada. JAISB does not yet hold an ISSN and none is displayed anywhere on this site; the e-ISSN will appear here once granted.
- DOI
- Crossref membership was applied for on 17 September 2026 and is under review; no DOIs are registered yet. DOIs will be assigned to all articles from the first publication onward once membership is active.
- Preservation
- PKP Preservation Network archiving planned from first issue; status disclosed in the transparency statement.
- Indexing & abstracting
- Current status: not yet indexed. Planned sequence: Google Scholar (via OJS metadata), Crossref, OpenAlex and Dimensions (via metadata deposit), then DOAJ application on eligibility, and Scopus / Web of Science evaluation after a sustained publication record. No listing is claimed until independently verifiable.

The inaugural issue is in preparation. Published issues and the complete archive will appear here, hosted on the journal's OJS site, with every article available in PDF and HTML with full metadata. We do not display placeholder or simulated content.
Submission requirements
Prepare an anonymised manuscript, a separate title page, and all required declarations as described in the submission checklist. Submissions are made through the journal's Open Journal Systems portal, where you can register a free account, upload your manuscript, and track it through every stage of peer review.
