JAISB publishes rigorous, original scholarship at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business, and sustainable development. The journal serves researchers, practitioners, and policymakers seeking evidence on how intelligent technologies can advance — and where they may threaten — inclusive, responsible, and sustainable economic activity.

Editor-in-Chief and editorial board

The founding editorial board is being appointed through the open, criteria-based process described on the For Editors page. Confirmed members are listed here with full name, affiliation, country, and ORCID iD only after written acceptance — we never display unconfirmed or purchased board memberships.

Current status: Editor-in-Chief appointment in progress; associate editor and board applications open. This section will be replaced by the full masthead as appointments are confirmed.

Peer review process

  1. Editorial screening (≤2 weeks)

    Scope, formatting, and similarity screening; desk decisions explained.

  2. Double-anonymous review

    At least two independent expert reviewers; structured review forms; identities concealed in both directions.

  3. Decision (target 8–10 weeks from submission)

    Accept / minor revision / major revision / reject, always with reviewer reports. Actual average times will be published once reliable data exist.

  4. Production

    Copyediting, typesetting, author proof approval, then immediate publication with full metadata.

Open access
All content free to read immediately on publication. No subscriptions. See the press-wide open access policy.
Copyright & licence
Authors retain copyright; articles published under CC BY 4.0.
APC
No submission fee; APC on acceptance only. [Amount to be confirmed by publisher before launch and stated here.]
Waiver policy
Full/partial waivers for authors from low- and lower-middle-income economies and demonstrated hardship; editors blinded to APC status.
Publication ethics
COPE-aligned press-wide ethics policies apply in full, including plagiarism screening and the AI use policy.
ISSN
Application in progress with the ISSN International Centre; the number will be displayed here once granted.
DOI
Crossref membership in progress; DOIs will be assigned to all articles from the first publication onward.
Preservation
PKP Preservation Network archiving planned from first issue; status disclosed in the transparency statement.
Indexing & abstracting
Current status: not yet indexed. Planned sequence: Google Scholar (via OJS metadata), Crossref, OpenAlex and Dimensions (via metadata deposit), then DOAJ application on eligibility, and Scopus / Web of Science evaluation after a sustained publication record. No listing is claimed until independently verifiable.

Submission requirements

Prepare an anonymised manuscript, a separate title page, and all required declarations as described in the submission checklist. Submissions are made via the journal's OJS portal (in configuration) or, in the interim, by email to editorial@abiedu.com with subject "JAISB submission".
