Help build journals worth trusting
We are recruiting founding Editors-in-Chief, associate editors, and editorial board members for our launch journals — openly, on merit, and with published criteria.
Open editorial roles
| Role | Journal | Commitment |
|---|---|---|
| Associate Editors (several) | Journal of AI and Sustainable Business | ~2–4 manuscripts/month handling; 3-year renewable term |
| Editorial Board Members | Journal of AI and Sustainable Business | Occasional reviews, scope advice, journal advocacy |
| Founding Editor-in-Chief | Education, Technology and Society (in development) | Shape scope, policies, and board; 3-year term |
| Founding Editor-in-Chief | Health, Policy and Sustainable Development (in development) | Shape scope, policies, and board; 3-year term |
Selection criteria
Editorial appointments are made on scholarly merit. We look for:
- A doctoral degree (or equivalent research standing) in a relevant field
- An active, verifiable publication record in peer-reviewed venues
- Prior experience as a reviewer or editor (for senior roles)
- Institutional affiliation and a professional or institutional email address
- Commitment to open access, research integrity, and inclusive publishing
We verify every applicant's identity, affiliation, and publication record. Board membership is never sold, never automatic, and never granted in exchange for submissions — practices we consider markers of predatory publishing.
What editors can expect from us
- Full editorial independence, protected in writing in our independence statement
- A properly configured OJS editorial workflow with training and documentation
- Administrative support from the editorial office for screening, reminders, and production
- Formal appointment letters, certificates, and public listing on the journal masthead
- A say in press-level policy through the editors' council
Editorial roles are currently voluntary (non-remunerated), as is common for new open access journals; this is stated plainly so expectations are clear from the outset.

Email editorial@abiedu.com with subject "Editorial application — [role] — [journal]" and include a short CV, your ORCID iD, a link to your publication record, and a one-paragraph statement of interest. Applications are reviewed monthly; every applicant receives a response.
