Knowledge without barriers

Every article we publish is immediately and permanently free to read, download, and reuse — no subscriptions, no paywalls, no registration walls.

Our open access policy

ABIEdu Academic Press publishes exclusively in gold open access. All articles are released online immediately upon publication under Creative Commons licences, in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of open access: free availability on the public internet, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles for any lawful purpose.

Licensing

The default licence across our journals is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This means anyone may share and adapt the work, including commercially, provided the original authors and source are credited. Authors retain full copyright; the licence is granted by the author to the world, not transferred to the publisher.

Author rights and self-archiving

  • Authors retain copyright in all versions of their work.
  • Any version — submitted, accepted, or published — may be deposited in institutional or subject repositories, posted on personal or lab websites, and shared with funders, with no embargo.
  • Preprint posting before submission is permitted and should be disclosed at submission.

How open access is funded

We charge no subscription or reading fees. Publishing costs are met through article processing charges payable only on acceptance, with a genuine waiver policy — see APCs and waivers. Editorial decisions are made blind to APC status.

Digital preservation

Long-term preservation is planned through the PKP Preservation Network (PN), the LOCKSS-based archiving service integrated with Open Journal Systems, so that content remains accessible even if a journal or the press ceases operation. Status: planned at launch — this page will state "active" only once the first content is verifiably preserved. See the transparency statement.

Open metadata and discoverability

Article metadata will be openly available for harvesting via OAI-PMH from our OJS platform, and deposited with Crossref upon DOI registration, enabling coverage by scholarly discovery services such as Google Scholar, OpenAlex, and Dimensions as they harvest our records. We describe indexing plans honestly and never claim coverage before it can be independently verified.
